Abstract

The present invention provides an aseismic damper formed of superplasticity alloy used for quakeproof reinforcement by fitting mainly to a joint part between a column and a beam of a wooden house, which effects aseismic damping with the property of the superplasticity alloy. The aseismic damper 3 made of superplasticity alloy is arranged in a 45 DEG direction at the joint part between the column 1 and the beam 2 of the wooden house, comprising a narrow deformation part 31 having a generally parallel width in the surface inner direction of a column/beam frame and curved in an arc shape and support parts 30 at both ends thereof having widths increased to non-deformable sizes. The deformation part is formed by combining the aseismic damper 3 made of the superplasticity alloy with mounting metal fittings 4 fixedly mounting the support parts 30 at both ends to the joint part between the column and the beam of the house. The deformation part 31 is so formed that its cross sectional area and section modulus are gradually increased from the end part to the center part thereof.
