Abstract
This invention provides an attaching device and method for a coaxial cable connector with high retaining accuracy of the coaxial cable and an external conductor housing. It can continuously perform a folding process and a crimping process automatically under the state of retaining and holding both positions correctly. The solving method is that: Firstly, it possesses a retaining and holding component 10 retains and holds the coaxial cable 70 and the external conductor housing 80 at the fixed position. Secondly, a movable supporting stand 3 moves back and forth in a horizontal direction while supporting the retaining and holding component 10. Further, and a crimping die 5 can move in the vertical direction at the crimping position. The retaining and holding component 10 comprises cylinder-shaped fixture, a clamping mechanism, a cable guiding body, and a folding means, movable supporting stand. The cylinder-shaped fixture 20, 21 holding the external conductor housing 80 in a standing posture. The clamping mechanism 30 clamps the cylindrical part 81 of the external conductor housing 80 embedded into the cylinder-shaped fixture 20, 21. The cable guiding body 45 extends the coaxial cable 70 in the direction of the movement of the movable supporting stand 3 and holding it. The folding means 50 folds the external conductor housing 80 in the course of movement of the movable supporting stand 3. The movable supporting stand 3 has a lower crimping teeth mold calking a crimping ferrule of the external conductor housing 80, that in cooperation with an upper crimping teeth mold of the crimping die 5.
