Abstract

A machine (10) for manipulating a C-shaped shell (1000) includes a base (12), a pair of first brackets (20), a pair of second brackets (40), a pair of pulling units, a pair of pushing units (70), and a controller (80). A plurality of fixing members (121, 123, 125) is mounted on the base, for fixing a C-shaped shell thereon. The first brackets are movably attached to opposite ends of the base respectively. The second brackets are pivotably attached to the first brackets respectively. The pulling units are fixed on the second brackets respectively. The pushing units are mounted adjacent to the pulling units respectively. In use, the controller controls the pulling units to engage with an inside of the C-shaped shell, the second brackets are then rotated with respect to the first brackets respectively, for upturning ends (1007) of the C-shaped shell, and the first brackets are controlled to move in opposite directions, for pulling the C-shaped shell open. A main body (2000) of an electronic device is placed in the C-shell, the controller then controls the machine to act reversely, for clamping the main body in the C-shell to form the electronic device.
