Abstract

The present invention relates to an active-matrix organic light emitting display (AMOLED) driving device and method . The AMOLED driving device includes a write unit, an auto-zero unit, a driving unit, a switching unit, and a storage unit. The device compensates the threshold voltage variations of each transistor by means of auto-zero to improve image uniformity. Data loading of the AMOLED is performed by applying a current source to charge the storage unit so that the load voltage can be modulated by controlling either the output of the current source or the duration of the charge time. This can save one capacitance in comparison with other related inventions thereby increasing the pixel aperture ratio and also reduce the complexity of the driving method.
