Abstract

A transparent panel having unidirectional bullet-resisting characteristics, comprises an outer transparent panel (2) of an acrylic resin; an inner transparent sheet (3) of a polycarbonate resin; and a transparent adhesive (16) bonding the two sheets (2, 3) together. Also described are a method of making such a panel, and presses (18, 50) useful in making such a panel.
