Abstract
Yöntem, bir ışık hüzmesinin (4a) örneğin füze gibi bir hedef yönüne aktarılmasını içermektedir. Hedeften yansıyan ışık hüzmesi bir bölgenin (5) yakınında düzenlenen dedektörlerden (3a, 3b) alınır. Her dedektör ve hedef boyunca bir ışık kaynağı arasındaki mesafeler hesaplanır. Hesaplanan mesafeler, izlenen bölgede geometrik olarak yerleştirilmiş bir noktanın tanımlanmasına izin verdiğinde bir hedef tespit sinyali iletilir. Bir koruma cihazı için bağımsız bir istem de dahil edilmiştir.
