Bir şarj kablosunun (3) akım kapasitesinin bir ölçümünü sağlamak için cihaz ve yöntemdir. Cihaz aşağıdakileri içermektedir: bir şarj kablosunun (3) çapının bir ölçümünü sağlamak üzere konfigüre edilmiş bir ölçüm cihazı ve şarj kablosunun (3) çapının ölçümüne göre şarj kablosunun (3) akım kapasitesinin bir ölçümünü sağlamak üzere konfigüre edilmiş bir kontrol cihazı (9). Yöntem, batarya şarj aparatına (1) bağlı olan bir şarj kablosunun (3) çapının bir ölçümünü elde etmeyi; ölçülen çapa göre şarj kablosunun (3) akım kapasitesinin bir ölçümünü elde etmeyi ve şarj kablosunun (3) ölçülen akım kapasitesine göre bataryayı şarj etmeyi içermektedir.
