Abstract

A moisture-resistant method has been developed on the refrigerator evaporators and condensers made of aluminum foils, preventing water accumulation and icing during their operation. A suitable solution was determined in a chemical formulation and composition with a wetting angle of 10-20, to provide water build-up and anti-icing surface properties. This solution was prepared by sol-gel technique and with this mixture, it was coated on evaporator and condenser surfaces made of aluminum foils by dipping or spraying methods at room temperature. The coated material was kept in the oven at a temperature of 40-150 C for 5 hours-5 minutes and required hardness and adhesion were ensured. The wetting angle on the coated surfaces was measured between 10-20 and tested in the conditioning rooms for 20 days to 8 hours at 0 / -50 C temperature, no icing was observed on the surface.
