A system used for cleaning enclosed sections of containers, where the enclosed section is defined by the inner wall. The system consists of the following components: a bottle stopper for holding multiple containers in at least one direction relative to the horizontal, where the container has an enclosed section with predetermined parameters and a mouth at one end; a directional alignment mechanism for aligning the conveyor-mounted containers so that the mouth is at the bottom and opens downwards; and a cleaning station with nozzles that generate resonant vibrations within the container at a predetermined air frequency within the enclosed section. The predetermined resonant frequency is partially determined, at least by, predetermined structural parameters of the container enclosed section. The resonant vibrations are at a level of energy sufficient to dislodge any dispersed solid particles from the inner wall of the container, but not at a level that affects the structural integrity of the container.
