The vibration damping rubber compound, which exhibits excellent vibration damping performance, consists of (A) to (C) as follows as the main components: (A) diene-based rubber; (B) a bismaleid compound vulcanizing agent, denoted by the formula (1) as follows: (chemical formula) ...(1) [where X is a hydrocarbon group containing an aromatic ring in its molecular structure or an aromatic hydrocarbon group and may or may not have substituents; and R1 to R4 may be the same or different and each is a hydrogen atom, alkyl group -NH2 or -NO2] where the vulcanizing agent is sulfur-free; and (C) a vulcanizing catalyst.

Claims

1. A mixture of vibration damping rubbers consisting of: a diene-based rubber; a vulcanizing agent of bismaleid compounds, given by the formula (1) as follows: (chemical formula) ...(1) [where X is a hydrocarbon group containing an aromatic ring in its molecular structure or an aromatic hydrocarbon group and may or may not have substituents; and R1 through R4 may be the same or different and each is a hydrogen atom, alkyl group -NH2 or -NO2] where the vulcanizing agent is sulfur-free; and a vulcanizing catalyst.

2. A vibration unit rubber compound pursuant to claim paragraph 1, whereby the vulcanizing agent is a thiazole-based vulcanizing agent.

3. A mixture of vibration unit rubbers pursuant to claim paragraph 2, in which the thiazole-based vulcanizing agent is dibenzothiacil disulfide or 2-(4-morpholinodithio)benzothiaazole.

4. A vibration unit rubber compound pursuant to claim paragraph 1, whereby the vulcanizing agent is a thiuram-based vulcanizing agent.
