The process of preparing (co) branched polycarbonate resin is disclosed. The process involves the use of at least one compound corresponding to formula 1a or 1b (chemical formula) (chemical formula) 1a 1b where R1, R2 and R3 independently identify either linear or branched C1-C10-alkyl. In linear or branched chains, R4 and R5 independently identify hydrogen, or in linear or branched C1-C10-alkyl chains, P1 and P2 independently identify integers between 3 and 10, as branching compounds.

Claims

1. The process of preparing (co)branched polycarbonate resins, an improvement which involves reacting at least one member selected from a group of compounds with formulas 1a and/or 1b (chemical formulas) (chemical formulas) 1a 1b where R1, R2 and R3 independently represent linear or branched C1-C10-alkyl chains, R4 and R5 independently represent hydrogen or linear or branched C1-C10-alkyl chains, P1 and P2 independently represent integers between 3 and 10.

2. The interface phase process for the production (co)polycarbonate resin modification which involves the reaction of at least one member selected from a group of compounds with formulas 1a and/or 1b (chemical formulas) (chemical formulas) 1 a 1 b

4. (Co) Polycarbonate prepared by the process as per claim 3.
