1. กรรมวิธีในการเตรียมสารประกอบสูตร I( สูตรเคมี ) ควบแน่นสารประกอบสูตร II ( สูตรเคมี ) ประกอบสูตร III ( สูตรเคมี ) ให้สารประกอบสูตร IV ( สูตรเคมี ) ให้สารประกอบสูตร V ( สูตรเคมี ) i ) กำจัดหมู่ป้องกันใดๆ ที่เหลือ ii ) เมื่อสารประกอบที่ได้คือ สารประกอบสูตร ( I ) เปลี่ยนมันไปเป็นอนุพันธ์ที่ยอมรับได้ทางเภสัชของสารเหล่า นั้น หรือ เมื่อสารประกอบที่ได้ คือ อนุพันธ์ที่ยอมรับได้ ทางเภสัชกรรม เปลี่ยนมันเป็นอนุพันธ์ที่ยอมรับได้ทางเภสัช กรรมชนิดอื่น หรือสารประกอบสูตร I
