Finally, the information received from the filter is used to display the program schedule. The video decoder receives and remembers the index table (FT) in its memory (MET). If the required criteria match the user's needs, the index table (FT) parameters are sent to the level one message filter. Finally, the information from the filter is received and used to display the program schedule.

Claims (6)

1. A method for arranging predefined text information for displaying television program schedules transmitted by a control center to a number of coin-operated television receivers. This system consists of at least one video-text decoder, control input, and user parameter memory. The method involves the control center arranging at least one index table (FT) according to predefined sorting criteria. This FT is then received and stored in the video-text decoder's memory (MFT). If the required criteria match the user's needs, the index table (FT) parameters are sent to the first-level message filter. The information received from the filter is then used to display the program schedule. 2. The methodology under Claim 1 is unique in that it includes tables for language criteria, tables for type criteria, and/or tables for promotional proposal criteria. 3. The methods under claims 1 and 2 are characterized by the creation of an index table (FT) containing items (all) that satisfy the selection criteria of the time spreading period determiner and the time spreading period ranking determiner. 4. The methods under claims 1 through 3 are unique in that they allow for the display of preliminary items for the initiation of an upcoming process. 5. A coin-operated television receiver for receiving transmissions from a control center, which must include at least one video-text decoder for television program scheduling, a control input, a main text modulation unit (MFT), and a text modulation output with the special characteristic that it includes a first-level message filter module, a set of messages based on the content of a defined index table (FT), transmitted by the control center and stored in the main text modulation unit (MFT). 6. The coin-operated television receiver under claim 5 has the following features: it includes a user history memory containing a compilation of previously purchased items, and it has the following features: a message filtering module will allow or disallow messages displayed in functions based on the user history.
