Passengers on the upper bed can use a ladder located at the foot of the bus, holding onto handrails above the ladder. Both the upper and lower beds have soft, flexible safety rails attached to all four sides: the bus walls, back of the headboard, footboard, and along the rails. Handrails are also installed on the upper bed for stability when moving around the bus. Single-tier beds have similar safety rails to the bunk beds.

Claims

1. Sleeping berths in a passenger bus consist of two bunk beds (1) installed on both the left and right sides of the bus, with the upper bunk (2) on top of the lower bunk (3). The bunk bed (1) is attached on one side to the side wall (13) of the bus and then extends to the upper (2) and lower (3) sections, which are attached to support posts from the ceiling (14) of the roof down to the floor of the aisle on the other side. There are solid panels covering the foot end (15) and the back head end (16). The upper bunk (2) has a ladder (4) that leads up to the upper bunk (2) at the foot end by holding onto a handrail (17) located on the side above the ladder (4). A unique feature is that both the upper (2) and lower (3) have safety rails (5) and are padded with soft, flexible material. Around all four sides of the bed, namely the car body wall (18), the back of the head (19), the foot end (20), and the safety rail (21), as well as the upper bed edge (2), there are handrails (23) installed to provide stability when walking around inside the car.

2. Sleeping berths in a passenger bus, according to claim 1, are single-level sleeping berths (6), which are attached to the side walls (13) of the vehicle and to the support posts from the ceiling (25). They are enclosed with solid panels to form walls at the foot (15) and the back wall at the head (16), and have safety rails (5) to prevent falls, and are padded with soft, flexible material on all four sides around the bed, in the same manner as a two-tier sleeping berth.
