The absorbent product consists of a main body including a backing pad, a liquid-absorbing layer superimposed on the backing pad, and a liquid-permeable layer provided on the liquid-receiving side of the main body and covering the liquid-absorbing layer; and leak-proof side walls provided on both sides of the main body and extending longitudinally so that the conical ends are welded to the surface of the liquid-receiving side and the free ends are positioned away from the surface of the liquid-receiving side. Each leak-proof side wall is formed from at least one side panel to have an inner section facing inward along the width of the absorbent product and an outer section facing outward along the width of the absorbent product. The inner section is provided with holes leading inward, and the outer section is provided with holes leading inward.
