Abstract

DC60 (03/11/42) Dye mixtures consisting of one or more diazo dyes containing 1-amino-3,6-disulfo-8-naphtol as a coupling component and two diazo components of the aniline series containing individual fiber-active groups of the vinylsulfone series; one or more monozo dyes containing 2-amino-naphthalene replaced by sulfo as a coupling component and a diazo component of the aniline series containing fiber-active groups of the vinylsulfone series; and, alternatively, monozo dyes one or two containing 1-amino-3,6-disulfo-8-naphtol as a coupling component which is ortho-coupled to the amino group in the diazo component of the aniline series replaced by fiber-active groups of the vinylsulfone series. Dye mixtures are applied to fibers containing hydroxya- and/or carboxamido, such as cellulose fibers, especially cotton, or to, for example, wool and synthetic polyamide fibers, for highly black dyeing. Dye mixtures containing one or more diazo dyes containing 1-amino-3,6-disulfo-8-naphthaline as a coupling component and two diazo components of the aniline series containing each fiber-active group of the vinylsulfone series, one or more monozo dyes containing 2-amino-naphthalene replaced by sulfo as a coupling component and diazo components of the aniline series containing the fiber-active groups of the vinylsulfone series, and alternatively. Monoazo dyes 1 or 2 containing 1-amino-3,6-disulfo-8-naphtol as a coupling component, which is ortho-coupled to the amino group in the aniline series diazone component, which is replaced by a fiber-active group of the vinylsulfone series. The dye mixtures are applied to fibers containing hydroxya- and/or carboxamido, such as cellulose fibers, especially cotton, or to, for example, wool and synthetic polyamide fibers, for highly black dyeing.

Claims (10)

1. A dye mixture consisting of one or more diazo dyes conforming to general formulation (1), one or more monozo dyes conforming to general formulation (2), and optional one or two monozo dyes conforming to general formulation (3). (Formula) (1) (Formula) (2) (Formula) (3) where: R1 is hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, methoxy, ethoxy, hydroxya, sulfo or carboxy; R2 is hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, methoxy, ethoxy, sulfo or carboxy; R3 is hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, ethoxy, hydroxya, sulfo or carboxy; R4 is hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, methoxy, ethoxy, sulfo or carboxy; R5 is hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, methoxy, ethoxy, hydroxya, sulfo or carboxy; R6 is hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, methoxy, ethoxy, sulfo or carboxy; Y in each case, independent of other groups, is vinyl or ethyl which has been replaced at the beta- position by a substituent that has been removed by the action of an alkali; which gives rise to a vinyl group; M is hydrogen or an alkali metal; m is the number 1 or 2; the dye, the acceptable dye, of general formula (1) or of general formulas (1) and (3) which has been present in the substance. Mixed in amounts from 50–95 percent by weight, and the dyes, acceptable dyes, of general formula (2) which have been present in the dye mixtures of formulas (1) and (30), if the dyes of general formula (3) that have been present in the dye mixtures, have been present in relation to other dyes 99.5 percent to 94 percent if they are diazo dyes of formulas (1) and (3), which have been calculated on the total amounts of dyes of formulas (1) and (3). 2. A dye mixture conforming to claim 1, which contains one or more diazo dyes of formulation (1) and, alternatively, monozo dyes 1 or 2 conforming to formulation (3) in total amounts of 60–80 percent by weight, and one or more monozo dyes of formulation (2) in amounts of 20–40 percent by weight. 3. A dye mixture conforming to claim 1 R1, R3, and R5, in which each group is independent of the others, is hydrogen. 4. Dye mixtures conforming to claim 1. R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, and R6 each represent hydrogen. 5. Dye mixtures conforming to claim 1 Y, in each case, independent of other groups, are vinyl or ethyl, with the beta- position replaced by chlorine, thiosulfate, sulfate, alkanoyl oxy of 2-5 carbon atoms, phosphate, sulfobenzoyl oxy or beta-toluyl-sulfonyl oxy. 6. A dye mixture conforming to claim 1, Y, which in each case is independent of the other group, is vinyl or beta-sulfate-toethyl. 7. A dye mixture conforming to claim 1, with a -SO2-Y group bonded to a benzene nucleus at the meta- or para- position with an azo group. 8. A dye mixture conforming to claim 1, with a -SO,-Y group formed by bonding a benzene nucleus at the para- position to an azo group. 9. Use of dye mixtures as defined and claimed in Claim 1, for dyeing fibers containing hydroxya- and/or carboxamido. 10. A procedure for dyeing fibers containing hydroxyl- and/or carboxamido, where the dye is applied to the substrate and the dye is fixed to the substrate by heating or other means, consisting of the use of dye mixtures claimed and defined in Claim 1.
