Abstract

DC60 (07/02/43), described as a dye mixture, consists of a coupling dye containing, alternatively, a phenylamino or naphthylamino radical attached to a chlorotriazine radical replaced by a lower molecular weight alkyl-lower molecular weight-alkoxy-halogen-sulfo- and/or carboxy- radical, and a diazo compound consisting of, alternatively, a phenyl radical replaced by a lower molecular weight alkoxy-lower molecular weight-sulfo- and/or carboxy- radical, where the radical is replaced by a group reactive to the fibers of the vinyl sulfone sequence, and a dye or dyes of another group of dyes. Lower molecular weight alkoxy, sulfo- and/or carboxy- and diazo-containing compounds incorporating benzene or naphthalene radicals, which in each case, as an alternative, may be replaced by lower molecular weight alkyl, sulfo- and/or carboxy-mixtures of dyes, are useful for the preparation, dyeing, and printing of carboxamido and/or hydroxyafibrous fibers, such as cotton and viscose fibers, including wool and synthetic polyamide fibers, and provide fast and vibrant red dyeing.

Claims (15)

1. A mixture of dyes which contains one or more dyes of general formulation (1) and one or more dyes of general formulation (2) in a molar ratio of dye (1) to dye (2) of 70:30 to 30:70 (chemical formula) (1) (chemical formula) (2), where M is hydrogen, an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal equivalent; R1 is hydrogen, an alkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, an alkoxy with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a sulfo or carbon C; R2 is hydrogen, an alkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or an alkoxy with 1 to 4 carbon atoms; G is a benzene radical. Or for naphthalene, R3 is the radical of benzene, where G is hydrogen, an alkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, an alkoxy with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a halogen, a sulfo, or a carboxy. And when G is the radical of naphthalene, R3 is hydrogen, methyl, sulfo, or carboxy. R4 is the radical of benzene, where G is hydrogen, an alkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, an alkoxy with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or a sulfo. And when G is the radical of naphthalene, R4 is hydrogen or sulfo, RA is hydrogen or sulfo, and D is the radical of benzene. Or for naphthalene, R5 is hydrogen, an alkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, an alkoxy with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a halogen, a sulfo, or a carboxy. And when D is the radical of naphthalene, R5 is hydrogen, methyl, sulfo, or carboxy. R6 is hydrogen, an alkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, an alkoxy with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or a sulfo. And when D is the radical of naphthalene, R6 is hydrogen or sulfo. RB is hydrogen or sulfo. R7 is hydrogen, an alkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, an alkoxy with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a sulfo, or a carboxy. R8 is hydrogen, an alkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or an alkoxy with 1 to 4 carbon atoms. The carbon atom R is hydrogen or an alkyl with 1 to 4 carbon atoms. Y1 is vinyl or an ethyl atom that has been replaced at the (beta) position by an alkali-neutralizing agent. Y2 has any meaning according to Y1. 2. A mixture of dyes as entitled in Reputation 1, where R1 is hydrogen, methyl, or methoxy. 3. A mixture of dyes as entitled in Reputation 1, where R2 is hydrogen, methyl, or methoxy. 4. A mixture of dyes as claimed in claim 1, in which R1 and R2 are both hydrogen groups. 5. A mixture of dyes as entitled in Reputation 1, where R7 is hydrogen, methyl, or methoxy. 6. A mixture of dyes as entitled in Reputation 1, where R8 is hydrogen, methyl, or methoxy. 7. A mixture of dyes as claimed in claim 1, in which R7 and R8 are both hydrogen groups. 8. A mixture of dyes as claimed in Reputation 1, where R3 is hydrogen or sulfonate, R4 is sulfonate, and RA is hydrogen. 9. A mixture of dyes as claimed in Reputation 1, where R5 is hydrogen or sulfonate, R6 is sulfonate, and RB is hydrogen. 10. A mixture of dyes as entitled in Requisition 1, where Y1 is vinyl or (beta)-sulfatoethyl. 11. A mixture of dyes as claimed in Requisition 1, in which Y2 is vinyl or (beta)-sulfatoethyl. 12. A mixture of dyes as claimed in claim 1 in which Y1-SO2- is attached to the nucleus of benzene at the meta position or para with an azo group. 13. A mixture of dyes as claimed in claim 1 in which -SO2-Y2 is attached to the nucleus of benzene at the meta position or para with an amino group. 14. A mixture of dyes as claimed in claim 1, where R is hydrogen. 15. A mixture of dyes as entitled in claim 1 in which the dye or dye of general formulation (1) and the dye or dye of general formulation (2) are present in a molar ratio of 60:40 to 40:60.
