This invention relates to the derivatives, di- or trifluoromethanesulfonyl anilides, represented by the following general formula (chemical formula) (where R1 is a hydrogen atom, alkyl group, or alkoxyalkyl group; and R2 is a hydrogen atom when R1 is a hydrogen atom or alkyl group, and is a hydrogen atom or fluorine atom when R1 is an alkoxyalkyl group), or salts of such a substance, both of which have herbicide activity.
