Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (X is halogen, nitro, CH3 or CF3; Y is H or halogen; R<1> is secondary alkyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl or bicycloalkyl; R<2> is lower alkyl, allyl or propalgyl; n is 1 or 2) or salt thereof. EXAMPLE:N-(4-Chlorobenzyl)-N'-cyclopentyl-N'-(2'-ethoxypyridine-5-yl) urea. USE:An active ingredient of germicide for agriculture and horticulture having excellent preventive, curative and penetrating and migrating germicidal effect against various kind of plant pasogenic germs such as sheath blight of rice, especially plant disease injury by microorganism belonging to Basidiomycetes. PREPARATION:For example, a carbamoylchloride expressed by formula II is reacted with an aminopyridine expressed by formula III in a solvent such as tetrahydrofuran in the presence of a base such as NaH at 0 deg.C- boiling point range of reaction mixture solution for 1-15hr to provide the compound expressed by formula I.
