Claims (20)

1. Efficacy enhancer for agricultural chemicals, consisting of a compound with the formula (I): (chemical formula) (I), where X is -O- or -CONH-, R1 is a linear or branched alkyl group with 6-20 carbon atoms, a linear or branched alkenyl group with 6-20 carbon atoms, or an alkylphenyl group consisting of an alkyl group with 6-18 carbon atoms, R2 is an alkyl group with 1-4 carbon atoms, R3, R4 and R5 are identical or different from each other, and at least one group is selected from the groups consisting of linear alkyl groups. Or branched with 6-30 carbon atoms and linear alkene groups; or branched with 6-30 carbon atoms and the remainders of R3, R4, and R5 are selected from groups containing benzyl, hydrogen, and -(A2O)m-H; A1 and A2 are independent alkyl groups with 2-4 carbon atoms, n is an average number from 1-30, and m is an average number from 1-15. 2. The potentiating agent produces the effect described in claim 1, where X is -O-; R1 is a linear or branched alkyl group with 6–20 carbon atoms, a linear or branched alkyl group with 6–20 carbon atoms, or an alkylphenyl group containing an alkyl group with 6–18 carbon atoms; and at least one R3, R4, and R5 are linear or branched alkyl groups with 6–30 carbon atoms, and the remainders of R3, R4, and R5 are selected from groups containing benzyl, hydrogen, and -(A2O)m-H groups, where A2 is an alkyl group with 2–4 carbon atoms; and m is the average number 1–15. 3. The potentiating agent produces the effect claimed in claim 1, where R3 is a linear or branched alkyl group with 6–30 carbon atoms or a linear or branched alkenyl group with 6–30 carbon atoms; and R4 and R5 are independent -(A2O)m-H, where A2 is an alkyl group with 2–4 carbon atoms; and m is an average number from 1–15. 4. The enhancer produces the effect claimed in claim 3, where A1 is an alkylene group with 2 or 3 carbon atoms, or a mixture of alkylene groups with 2 and 3 carbon atoms. 5. The additive is capable of producing the effect described in claim 3, where R2 is an alkyl group with 1 or 2 carbon atoms. 6. The aqueous enhancer composition produces an effect for agricultural chemicals, which contains at least 20 percent by weight of the enhancer as described in Claim 1. 7. The auxiliary components resulting in an effect for agricultural chemicals consist of (a) a compound with the formula (I) as described in Claim 1 and (b) a chelating agent of 0.05 to 15 mol per mol of compound (a). 8. The enhancing composition of an agricultural chemical product shall consist of (a) a compound with the formula (I) as described in Claim 1 and (c) at least one surfactant other than the compound with the formula (I). 9. The enhancing components that produce an effect for agricultural chemicals shall consist of (a) a compound with the formula (I) as described in Claim 1, (c) at least one surfactant other than the compound with the formula (l), and (b) a chelating agent of 0.05 to 15 mol/mol of compound (a). 10. The element claimed under claim 8 or claim 9, where the surfactant is a non-ionic surfactant. 11. The elements as claimed in claim 8 or claim 9, where the weight ratio of (a) to (c) is between 1:10 and 30:1. 12. Agricultural chemical compositions, which include compounds with the formula (l) as described in Claim 1 and agricultural chemicals, with a weight ratio of compounds with the formula (I) to agricultural chemicals ranging from 0.03:1 to 50:1. 13. Agricultural chemical components as claimed in claim 12, where agricultural chemicals are bactericides (or fungicides), insecticides, acaricides, herbicides or plant growth regulators. 14. Agricultural chemical components as claimed in claim 12, where agricultural chemicals are herbicides. 15. Agricultural chemical components as claimed in claim 12, whereby chemical compounds are added with (b) chelating agents. 16. Agricultural chemical compositions as claimed in Claim 12, which include (c) at least one surfactant other than the compounds with the formula (I) as described in Claim 1. 17. Methods to enhance the efficacy of agricultural chemicals, which involve the use of efficacy enhancers as described in Reputation 1 in conjunction with the agricultural chemicals, so that specific areas will benefit from the processing of the agricultural chemicals. 18. Excipients as claimed in claim 1, where X is -CONH- and R1 is a C7-17 alkyl group or a C7-17 alkenyl group. 19. The use of any compound with the formula (l) as described in claims 1 through 5 for the enhancement of the efficacy of agricultural chemicals. 20. Use as defined in claim 19, where X represents -O-.
