Claims (14)

1. B. from about 0.05% to about 6% of a conditioning agent selected from the group consisting of: (1) 0.05-5% of a complex of substantially equimolar amounts of (EtO) 1-10 C 8 -C 18 carboxylic acid and (EtO) 0-10 C 8 -C 18 -alkyl dimethidamine; (2) 0.05-1.0% of a poly-quaternary compound selected from the group consisting of a quaternized cellulosic polymer and a mixture of said quaternized cellulosic polymer with a non-cellulosic quaternary conditioning polymer; and (3) mixtures of the above compound; C. 0.1 to 1% of a mixture that regulates static properties: (1) a quaternary ammonium salt of the formula R 9 R 10 R 11 R 12 N + X - , in which R 9 is C 14 -C 18 alkyl, R 10 and each R 11 is C 1 -C 4 alkyl, R 12 is C 1 -C 4 -alkyl or benzyl and X - is a salt forming cation selected from the group consisting of chloride, bromide, methosulfate and ethosulfate; and (2) a quaternary diammonium salt of the formula (R 13 ) 2 R 14 R 15 N + X - , in which R 13 represents C 14 -C 18 alkyl or alkylene, and R 14 and R 15 each represents C 1 -C 4 -alkyl or a group (CH 2 CH 2 O) n H, wherein at least one of R 14 and R 15 represents a group (CH 2 CH 2 O) n H, n is an integer from 2 to 20 and X represents the cation described in C (1) above; moreover, the weight ratio of the Quaternary monoalkyl salt to the Quaternary dialkyl salt is from about 1: 4 to 4: 1; and D. balance, which is an aquatic environment; moreover, these compositions exhibit improved antistatic properties compared with the same compositions containing either the specified Quaternary monoalkyl salt, or the specified Quaternary dialkyl salt as the only antistatic ingredient. 2. An effective conditioning shampoo composition that is free of conditioning amounts of silicone conditioning agents, containing by weight: A. from about 8% to about 28% detergent surfactant mixture: (1) an anionic detergent selected from the group consisting of water-soluble salts of C 8 -C 18 alkyl sulfates and C 8 -C 18 alkyl (ethyleneoxy) 1-5 ether sulfates; and (2) an amphoteric surfactant selected from the group consisting of C 8 -C 18 alkylbetaines and C 8 -C 18 alkylamido-C 2 -C 3 alkyl betaines; B. from about 0.1% to about 3.3% of a water-insoluble conditioning agent selected from the group consisting of: (1) from 0.10 to about 2.5% of a complex of substantially equimolar amounts of (EtO) 2- -C 8 -C 18 -carboxylic acid and C 8 -C 18 alkyl- (EtO) 0 -dimethylamine; (2) from about 0.1 to about 0.8% of a poly-quaternary compound selected from the group consisting of a quaternized cellulosic polymer and a mixture of said quaternized cellulosic polymer with a non-cellulosic quaternary conditioning polymer; and (3) mixtures of the above compounds; and C. 0.2-0.8% of a mixture that regulates static properties: (1) a quaternary ammonium salt of the formula R 9 R 10 R 11 R 12 N + X - , in which R 9 represents C 14 -C 18 -alkyl, R 10 and R 11 each represents C 1 -C 2 alkyl, R 12 represents C 1 -C 2 alkyl, X - represents a salt-forming cation selected from the group consisting of chloride, methosulfate and ethosulfate; and (2) a quaternary diammonium salt of the formula (R 13 ) 2 R 14 R 15 N + X - , in which R 13 represents C 14 -C 18 alkyl alkylene, and R 14 and R 15 each represents C 1 -C 2 - an alkyl or a group (CH 2 CH 2 O) n H, wherein at least one of R 14 and R 15 represents a group (CH 2 CH 2 O) n H, n is an integer of 2 to 20, and X represents a cation described above in C (1); moreover, the weight ratio of the Quaternary monoalkyl salt to the Quaternary dialkyl salt is from about 1: 2 to 2: 1; and D. from about 68 to about 92% water; moreover, these compositions exhibit improved antistatic properties compared with the same compositions containing either the specified Quaternary monoalkyl salt, or the specified Quaternary dialkyl salt as the only antistatic ingredient. 9.
