A mixture that is thermally stable to oxidative or light-induced degradation consisting of (a) an organic material that is thermally oxidative or light-induced degradation and (b) an amount that can cause the stabilization effect of a component of formulation I, II, III, or IV according to claim 12. 17. A mixture according to claim 16 in which the organic material is a natural or semi-synthetic polymer. or synthetic 18. A mixture according to patent 17 in which the polymer is a thermoplastic polymer. 19. A mixture according to patent 18 in which the polymer is a polyolefin or polycarbonate. 20. A mixture according to patent 19 in which the polymer is polyethylene or polypropylene. 21. A mixture according to patent 20 in which the polymer is polypropylene. 22. A mixture according to patent 16 in which the organic material is a resin selected from a group consisting of thermoset, acrylyl melamine resin, acrylyl urethane resin, epoxycarboxyresin, silane modified acrylyl melamine acryl resin with a carbamate pendant group. 23. A mixture according to patent 22 in which the resin is a thermoset, acrylic, melamine resin, or acrylic urethane resin. 24. A mixture according to patent 16 in which the organic material b) is the recording material. 25. The use of benzotriazole compounds of formulation A, B, C, or D according to patent 1 in an amount of 0.01 to 5% by weight relative to the resin solid to stabilize the coating mixture in which the mixture consists of a resin selected from the group of thermoset, acrylic, melamine resin, acrylic, urethane resin, epoxycarboxy resin, silane modified acrylic melamine, acrylic resin with a carbamate pentane group cross-linked to melamine.
