The lid consists of a body that is fitted and secured to the opening of the container, a top cover that is integrated into the body, and a ring-like piece that covers the outer surface of the rim of the body. The ring-like piece and the rim are connected by a tear-off connecting bridge. These two pieces are separated by cut surfaces. The cut surfaces are joined together to create a tight, secure fit at the cut surface. The lid can be easily removed by hand from the opening of the container and can be detached from the container when it's time to dispose of it.

Claims

1. Lid (1) consisting of the lid body (2) which is incorporated with the top plate (5) which has an opening (10) for pouring out the contents or a section (9) for creating an opening and a rim (6) in which the rim (6) has an overhang (13) made on its inner surface to fit into the opening (50) of the container; a ring-like part (4) which is incorporated into the lid body (2) to cover the outer surface of the rim (6) of the lid body (2); and a top cover (3) for covering the top plate (5) of the lid body (2), which is designed so that the rim (6) of the lid body (2) and the ring-like part (4) are connected by a series of bridge sections. The tearable joints (17), which are spaced apart in a circumferential direction, and the edges (6) of the body of the cover (2) and the ring-shaped parts (4) are separated from each other by cut surfaces (19), but are made to make contact with each other at the cut surfaces (19).

2. The cover in accordance with claim 1, in which the bridge sections (17) are positioned at the top or bottom end of the cut surface (19).

3. The cover in accordance with claim 1, where the said margin (6) of the said cover body (2) has a series of long segments (14) which are spaced apart in a circumferential direction and extend from the lower end of the margin (6) to at least the upper end of the said segment (13) on the inner surface of the margin (6).

4. Any of the covers in claims 1 to 3, where the top cover (3) is placed on the body of the cover (2) by means of screwing it on (11) or connecting it with a hinge.

5. The cover in any of the claims 1 through 4, in which the ring-shaped part (4) has a weak part that extends from its lower end to its upper end.

6. The cover as per claim 5, in which the said vulnerable part is torn (30)

7. The cover as per claim 5, in which the ring-shaped part (4) is provided with a protruding part (31) or notch for tearing off the vulnerable part.

8. The eye cover in claim 1 or 5, which the said margin (6) of the said body of the eye cover (2) and the said ring segment (4) are connected together by a tearable bridge (17) and an indestructible connector (45).
