Homogeneous foaming liquid detergent composition contains the following main components: (a) 60 to 80% by weight of active detergent system, consisting of: (1) one type of water-soluble salt of C3 - C12 dialkyl ester of sulfosuccinic acid, where the alkyl groups may be the same or different; (2) one type of C10 - C18 alkyl ether sulfate, where the ratio between (1) and (2) is 4:1 to 0.5:1; (3) one type of non-ionic detergent (or may be absent), present in an amount not exceeding 15% by weight of the total components; (b) one type of C2 - C3 mono- or polyhydric alcohol; (c) urea in an amount of 0 to 12% by weight, which may be absent; (d) water and minor components present in small amounts. By making all components exactly 100%, the weight ratio between alcohol (b) and water exceeds the critical value r, which depends on the concentration of the total detergent active ingredient. If it is below this, phase separation (phases) will occur.

The process for preparing the components as claimed in claims 24 or 25 consists of the following steps: (1) Dissolving the cellulose polymer in water in an amount calculated to yield the correct amount of water in the final component, possibly with a calculated amount of C2-C3 alcohol (b), which may be present in part or in whole; (2) If necessary, adding the following, remaining or in whole, calculated amounts of C2-C3 alcohol (b); (3) Mixing the alkyl ether sulfate (a) (2) and surfactant (a) (3), which may or may not be present, and C2-C3 alcohol, if still to be added; (4) Mixing the dialkyl sulfosuccinate (a) (1).
