Abstract

Knitted textiles, used to make sweaters, consist of braided stiff yarns interwoven with bare elastic yarns. The elastic yarns have a consistent draft throughout the yarn's path. This is achieved through a process where the bare elastic yarns are fed under constant tension to knitting equipment, with the yarn requirements being variable during knitting. Knitted textiles are used to make garments such as sweaters, undershirts, dresses, underwear, skirts, shirts, and hats.

Claims (29)

1. The knitted textile of a sweater consists of: at least one solid yarn and at least one bare elastic yarn, causing both categories of yarn to be braided together in the knitted textile of the sweater. Here, the bare elastic yarn forms a consistent braid throughout each path in the textile. 2. The knitted textile of the sweater of claim 1, here the elastic yarn has a consistent origin throughout in a continuous path in the textile. 3. The knitted textile for the sweater of claim number 2, herein referred to as the draft, is between approximately 1.1 and 4.5. 4. The knitted textile for the sweater of claim number 3, herein referred to as the draft, is between approximately 1.2 and 2.5. 5. The knitted textile for the sweater of claim 1, where the denier of the elastic yarn is between approximately 10 and 150. 6. The knitted textile for the sweater of claim number 5, where the denier of the elastic yarn is between approximately 10 and 70. 7. The textile is knitted into a sweater of claim 1; here the textile is a flat knitted textile. 8. The textile is knitted into a sweater of claim 1; here the textile is a circular knitted textile. 9. The knitted textile for the sweater of claim 1, here the bare elastic yarn is a bare elastic synthetic fiber. 10. In the knitted textile for the sweater of claim number 1, the difference in edge length in the textile is less than approximately 7%. 11. The procedure for creating knitted textiles such as sweaters involves: sending at least one bare elastic thread and at least one stiff thread to a common knitting position; knitting the two threads together to form a braid to produce the knitted textile for the sweater; selecting the desired tension level for the elastic thread when sending it for knitting; and maintaining this so-called desired tension level constantly throughout the knitting process in such a way that the tension of the elastic thread during knitting in the steady state does not vary by more than 17% of the average total steady state tension of the thread. 12. Procedure of Claim No. 11, whereby during the stabilization process, the tensile strength of the elastic yarn during knitting in the steady state varies by no more than 10% from the average total steady state tensile strength of what is called the yarn. 13. The procedure of claim 11, herein the procedure for maintaining the static state, consists of detecting the temporary change in the required amount of tension in the elastic yarn during the so-called knitting phase; and, in response to the so-called detection phase, making specific control of the change in the level of tension called the elastic yarn when that level attempts to change from the so-called desired tension level in response to the desired variation in the amount of tension in the yarn during knitting. 14. The procedure of claim number 11, herein called the selection process, consists of changing the so-called degree of tension required during the so-called knitting phase. 15. Procedure of Claim 11, here the knitting procedure consists of knitting both strands of yarn together in a flat knitted textile. 16. The procedure of claim number 11, here the knitting procedure consists of knitting the two strands together in a circular knitted textile. 17. The procedure of claim 11, here the transmission procedure consists of feeding the changing elastic thread to the so-called common position in the path which alternates from opposite directions. 18. The system for creating knitted sweaters by braiding at least one stiff thread and at least one bare elastic thread together consists of: a device for braiding at least one elastic thread and at least one stiff thread together to form a braid for producing knitted sweaters; a device for sending the elastic thread to the knitting device; a device for sending the stiff thread to the knitting device; a device for selecting the required tension level for the elastic thread when sending it to the knitting device; and a device for maintaining the required tension level constantly during knitting in such a way that the tension of the elastic thread during knitting in the steady state does not vary by more than 17% of the average total steady state tension of the thread. 19. The system of claim number 18, hereby provides that the stabilizing device shall maintain the tensile strength of the elastic yarn during knitting at a level which does not vary by more than 20% of the total average tensile strength of the so-called yarn. 20. The system of claims 18, herein the device for maintaining the static condition consists of: a device for detecting temporary variations in the required amount for the elastic yarn, called the knitting device; and a responding device, called the sensing device, for controlling any variations in the level of tension of the yarn, called the elastic yarn, when the so-called level of tension attempts to vary from the so-called level of tension in response to the desired variations in the amount of tension of the yarn. 21. The system of claim number 20, herein the sensing device consists of a control arm which moves between one position and a second position in response to changes in the required amount for the so-called elastic thread by which the device is called the knitting device. 22. The system of claim number 20, herein the sensing device consists of a strain gauge. 23. The system of claim number 20, here the device for maintaining the stabilization condition is further comprised of a wheel device for conveying the so-called elastic yarn, when such yarn is sent to the so-called knitting device and is positioned at the location where the so-called elastic yarn changes direction. 24. The system of claims in Article 23, herein called the wheeled device, consists of a wheel moving in jewel bearings. 25. The system of claims 20, herein the device for maintaining the stabilization state is further comprised of a guiding device called the elastic thread. When such thread is sent to the device called the knitting device, the guiding device consists of a low-friction surface and is positioned at the location where the so-called elastic thread changes direction. 26. System of claims No. 25, herein the low friction surface consists of sapphire jewels. 27. The system of claim No. 18, herein called the knitting equipment, consists of a flatbed knitting machine which is composed of a collision device for selective movement between one side of the so-called knitting machine and the other side of the so-called knitting machine for the production of the knitting of textiles. 28. The system of claims under Article 18, herein called "the knitting device," is a machine for knitting circular shapes. 29. The system of claim number 18, herein called the elastic yarn feeder, consists of a device for feeding the elastic yarn, called the knitting device, in alternating paths from the supply device located at either end of the knitting machine, called the knitting machine (Clause 29, page 5, figure 16).
