Abstract

A multi-functional lid that fits over a pan includes a top lid, a body lid with an opening, and a top lid integrated with the opening and a handle on the top surface of the lid. The body lid has a positioning rim positioned around the inner circumference of the opening, and at least one snap-on assembly and snap-off piece positioned between the circumference of the top lid and the positioning rim, which can be interlocked or detached. When the pan has hot oil for frying, the top lid can be removed, and the body lid can prevent hot oil from splattering, avoiding burns and greasy stains on the kitchen, while allowing moisture and oil fumes to escape from the opening. When the top lid is integrated with the body lid to cover the opening, the lid can be used in a conventional way for stewing food or to provide easy access to the pan lid, thus providing multiple functions.

Claims (6)

1. A multi-functional pan lid comprising a lid body with an opening created in the center of the top section and a top lid integrated with the top of the opening, with a securing handle positioned on the top surface of the top lid. The opening has a positioning rim arranged around its inner circumference, and at least one set of vertically aligned snap-on and snap-off assemblies are positioned between the circumference of the top lid and the positioning rim. The top lid can be deflected relative to the lid body to snap the snap-on to the snap-off assemblies in a manner that fuses it with the lid body. The top lid can be deflected in the opposite direction relative to the lid body to release the snap-on state of the snap-on and snap-off assemblies, allowing it to be detached from the lid body. 2. A multi-functional lid as per claim 1, where the snap-on parts are arranged around the top lid and the snap-on assembly is placed on the top surface of the lid's rim, defining the position of the lid body. 3. A multi-functional lid as per claim 2, whereby the snap-on assembly is of a substantial rod or convex shape and has a neck and a projection positioned on top of the neck, and the projection has an outer diameter larger than the outer diameter of the neck; the snap-on is a thick, elongated through-hole that passes through the top lid, and one end of the through-hole is designated as the first end, with an inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of the projection, and the other end is designated as the second end, with an inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of the neck and smaller than the outer diameter of the projection; and after the snap-on assembly passes through the corresponding first end, the top lid is deflected relative to the lid body in such a way that the second end of the through-hole is shifted to the outer circumference of the corresponding snap-on assembly to snap and secure the projection of the snap-on assembly to the second end. 4. A multi-functional lid as per claim 1, where the snap-on part is positioned on the rim, defining the position of the lid body, and the snap-on assembly is positioned around the underside surface of the top lid. 5. A multi-functional lid as per claim 4, whereby the snap-on assembly has a rod-like or significantly convex shape and a neck and protrusion positioned at the bottom of the neck and protrusion with an outer diameter larger than the outer diameter of the neck; the snap-on is a thick, elongated through-hole that passes through the positioning edge, and one end of the through-hole is designated as the first end, which has an inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of the protrusion, and the other end is designated as the second end, which has an inner diameter larger than the outer diameter of the neck and smaller than the outer diameter of the protrusion; and after the snap-on assembly is passed through to the corresponding first end, the lid is deflected relative to the lid body in such a way that the neck of the snap-on assembly is shifted to the inner circumference of the corresponding second end of the through-hole to snap and fasten the protrusion of the snap-on assembly to the second end. 6. A multi-functional pan lid as provided by any of Claims 1 through 5, which includes, in addition, a handle fitted onto the rim of the lid.
