The process of dyeing silk threads using fabric dye extracted from the peel of the tea tree oil fruit consists of the following steps: a. Crush 1 kilogram of tea tree oil fruit peels to the size of green peas. b. Soak the crushed peels in 30 liters of water per 1 kilogram of silk thread for 12 hours. c. After soaking for 12 hours, boil the crushed peels in water for another 4-6 hours. d. Chop 1 kilogram of banana stalks per 1 kilogram of silk thread. The banana stalks will act as a dye-fixing agent. e. Boil the chopped banana stalks with the crushed peels for 30 minutes. This will ensure the remaining color is stable. f. After boiling to extract the color for 30 minutes, prepare to filter the colored water. g. Prepare filtering equipment using muslin or polyester fabric. Muslin or polyester fabric is fine and thick enough to withstand heat. h. Filter the boiled tea tree oil fruit peels to remove the peels. Prepare the degummed silk threads by soaking them in water until saturated, then wringing them out to straighten the strands for easier dyeing. Filter the water through muslin or polyester cloth. Filter the dye extracted from the tea tree bark twice to obtain only the liquid needed for dyeing. Prepare 30 liters of the extracted liquid per 1 kilogram of silk. Divide the liquid into two equal parts: Part 1 for cold dyeing and Part 2 for hot dyeing. Heat the mixture on a stove. For cold dyeing, apply the silk threads to Part 1, ensuring even contact with the dye solution to prevent uneven dyeing. Dye for 20 minutes, frequently turning the threads to maintain contact with the dye. Continue this process until the silk threads are fully saturated. Finally, prepare Part 2 for hot dyeing. Heat the second part of the dye solution to 80 degrees Celsius. Then, hot-dye the silk threads by adding the remaining dye solution from the cold dyeing process to the hot dyeing pot at 90-95 degrees Celsius. The hot dyeing process takes 90 minutes. After hot dyeing, hang the dyed silk threads to cool. Rinse the silk threads with clean water to remove excess dye until the water is clear. Soak the silk threads in lime water for 5 minutes. Rinse with clean water to remove any alkalinity from the lime. Loosen the silk threads by stretching and air-drying them out of direct sunlight. Rinse the silk threads thoroughly with cold water, stretch them to straighten, air-dry, and then use them for weaving. ------30/06/2566------(OCR) 1.
