Abstract

The shower screen assembly is designed for corner installation. The shower screen assembly includes a pair of fixed wall assemblies (15 and 16) and at least one sliding wall assembly (17 or 18). Each fixed and sliding wall assembly has a glass panel (19) supported in the fixed and sliding frames, respectively. The fixed frame has an upper panel frame (28), a lower panel frame (29), and side panel frames (30 and 31) of either type one or type two cross-section. The upper and lower panel frames extend beyond one side panel frame and support the sliding wall assembly, allowing the shower screen panel to slide. The shower screen panel is secured by connecting the pair of fixed wall assemblies at the ends of the overhangs of the upper and lower panel frames.

Claims (18)

1. The panel assembly includes fixed wall assemblies and sliding wall assemblies. Fixed wall assemblies have panels supported in a fixed frame. This fixed frame has a top panel frame, a bottom panel frame, and side panel frames that connect to the top and bottom panel frames. The top and/or bottom panel frame extends beyond one of the side panel frames and forms a support along the line to which the sliding wall assembly is adjusted to slide. 2. The panel assembly as specified in Claim 1, where such sliding wall assembly shall have a panel supported in a sliding frame, and the sliding frame shall contain an upper panel frame, a lower panel frame, and side panel frames connected to the upper and lower panel frames. 3. The blind assembly as specified in either Claim 1 or Claim 2, in which each top, bottom, and side panel frame is a structural component with either a selected Type 1 or Type 2 cross-section. 4. The blind assembly as described in Reputation 3, in which the blind assembly contains a number of fixed wall assemblies and at least one sliding wall assembly, the side frame of the fixed frame and the top frame, the bottom frame and the following side frame of the sliding frame shall have a cross-section of type I, and the top frame and the bottom frame of the fixed frame and the leading side frame of the sliding frame shall have a cross-section of type II. 5. The blind panel assembly as specified in claim number 4, where the leading side panel frame of the sliding structure has a leading extension for fitting into the side panel filter of another wall assembly. 6. The blind assembly as described in Claim 5, where each layer of the frame is grooved to support the panel, and has grooved finned box sections that serve as a wall, and the frame sections also have fins and angled sections protruding from opposite edges of the wall in directions away from the grooves. 7. The panel assembly as specified in claim 6, whereby each sliding wall assembly shall contain numerous support pieces to support the sliding wall assembly within the stationary wall assembly so that it may move within the support pieces. Each support piece shall have a sliding or rolling device. 8. The panel assembly as specified in Requisition 7, where the sliding device is fitted to the upper and/or lower panel fins to support the sliding wall assembly for sliding movement, and the rolling device is fitted to one side of the wall and/or the lower panel fin to support the sliding wall assembly for sliding movement. 9. The blind panel assembly as described in either Claim 7 or 8 shall have individual support pieces with pegs that allow them to be supported within the side panel frame enclosure. Such pegs shall have openings to accommodate through-screws that secure the side panel frame to the upper and lower filter panels and hold the support pieces within the enclosure. 10. Any of the blind assembly sets as specified in Reputations 1 through 9 shall have a pair of connecting devices for connecting the fixed wall assembly sets at the ends of the overhangs of the top and bottom panel frames. 11. The blind panel assembly as specified in claim 10, where such connecting device has numerous pegs, is securely supported within the corner sections, box sections, and grooves of the upper panel frame and lower panel filter. 12. Any of the blind assembly sets as specified in Claims 1 through 11, in which the extension of the lower panel frame has a cover device designed to allow the panel to fit into the groove of the lower panel frame. 13. Any of the shower enclosure assemblies specified in Claims 1 through 12 shall, when assembled, form a shower enclosure for installation in the corner of a room where a sliding wall assembly will have a sliding door, and the leading side panel frame of the sliding frame will fit into the side panel frames of other wall assemblies to prevent water splashing out of the shower area when the door is closed. 14. Shower Corner Panel Assembly. This assembly consists of a pair of fixed wall assemblies and at least one sliding wall assembly. Each fixed wall assembly has a panel supported in a fixed frame. The fixed frame has an upper panel frame, a lower panel frame, and side panel frames that connect to the upper and lower panel frames, and an upper and/or lower panel filter that extends beyond one of the side panel frames and forms a support along the line where the sliding wall assembly slides. Each sliding wall assembly has a panel supported in a sliding frame, and the sliding frame has an upper panel frame, a lower panel frame, and side panel frames that connect to the upper and lower panel filters. A pair of connecting fittings for the fixed wall assemblies is included at the ends of the extensions of the upper and lower panel frames. 15. The method for assembling the shower curtain panels is as follows: Prepare one pair of fixed wall assemblies and at least one sliding wall assembly. Each fixed wall assembly will have panels supported in a fixed frame which has a top panel frame, a bottom panel frame, and side panel frames that connect to the top and bottom panel frames. The top and/or bottom panel frame extends beyond one side panel frame and forms supports along the line where the sliding wall assembly is moved. Each sliding wall assembly will have panels supported in a sliding frame which has a top panel frame, a bottom panel frame, and side panel frames that connect to the top and bottom panel frames. Install each fixed wall assembly to the shower wall. Connect the corresponding ends of the top and bottom panel frames using connectors. 16. The panel assembly is as described by referring to the attached drawing. 17. The shower curtain assembly is described by referring to the attached drawing. 18. The method of assembling the shower curtain is described by referring to the attached drawings (18 claims, 4 pages, 30 figures).
