Description
(54) METHOD OF STRENGTHENING GRANULES
The invention relates to non-ferrous metallurgy, in particular to the agglomeration of bulk materials. There is a method of wrapping materials in which the granules at the exit from the granulator are subjected to vibration 1. The disadvantage of this method is that its implementation requires additional devices and power consumption. The closest in technical essence and the achieved result to the proposed method is the production of granules from metal-containing solvents, including dispersing a liquid binder, such as sulfite-alcohol stillage 2. The disadvantage of this method is that when spraying iodine binder with cold air, viscosity increases, which leads to a deterioration in the wettability of particles of a combustible material, and, consequently, to a decrease in the binder content in the granules and the deterioration of their strength and. The purpose of the invention is to increase the strength of the granules. This goal is achieved by the fact that in the method of hardening granules of metal-containing solids, including the dispersion of a liquid binder, such as sulfite-alcohol stillage, the binder is activated with water vapor under pressure before being fed to the granulator. The method is carried out as follows. Wet (moisture content .5.5–6%) copper-containing bristles are fed to the throat granule (the speed of rotation of the thicket is 4.3 rpm, the angle of inclination is 46%, the binder heated to 60-90 ° С (sulfite alcohol bard), activated with compressed water vapor, transferred to an aerosol state and directed to a pan granulator for displacement from the combustible trap. For comparison, the experiment was conducted in parallel under the same conditions, but compressed air was used as a spraying agent. The table shows the comparative data on: pelleting the spraying binder in air and steam activation.

Offered at temperature and Note. upper temptiturn binder. The data in the table shows that when a known method of spraying a uroro is applied, its temperature decreases to 40-45 ° C, while the proposed method allows the binding temperature to be maintained within the required limits (60-95 ° C). The data on the strength of the granules indicate the improvement in the quality of the granulate by using water vapor as a binder activator. In addition, when using compressed water vapor as an activating agent, static strength. pellets increased by 32.5% rel. Improving the strength of the granules is a result of a decrease in the viscosity of the binder, an increase in the surface of its contact with the material, a more uniform distribution in the charge, and an improvement in the interaction
