Description
At present, the most common tool for determining the mobility of plastics is the StroyCNIL cone. But his readings suffer from insufficient accuracy in the study of masses of different mobility.
To eliminate this drawback, an air damper is used in the proposed conic of the StroyCNIL type cone to regulate the speed of immersion of the cone in the mass under study. The shock absorber is made in the form of a cylinder with a piston, to which is attached a cord to the rod, which encloses the block carrying the chain on which the cone is suspended.
The attached drawing shows the proposed prioor for determining the mobility of plastics.
В зависимости от характера испытуемой массы высота и вес KOHvca МОГУТ мен тьс .On the tripod 1 mounted all the details of the device. The shock absorber 2 is a pneumatic cylinder 3, to which the cord 5 is attached to the piston rod 4. In the lower part of the cord there is a block 6, carrying a chain 7, to which a cone 8 is suspended. On the same block 6 a counting device 9 is planted, consisting of a disk 10 with a scale and arrows P. Under the cone 8 there is a conical vessel 12 with the tested plastic mass. The upper part of the vessel is a square 13. The vessel is usually filled to the lower plane of the square and placed in a water bath 14 to maintain the desired temperature of the plastics in a stable condition. If it is necessary to carry out tests at elevated temperature, the vessel 12 is placed on an electric plate 15. If necessary, the tile can be equipped with an automatic temperature regulator. A screw 16 is provided to hold the rod 4 in a fixed state. It is desirable that the angle at the apex of the cone 8 be 30 °. Depending on the nature of the test mass, the height and weight of KOHvca CAN vary.
10.No. 93060-2 In order to determine the mobility (thickness, consistency) of the plastic mass, the offered cone vessel 12 is filled with the test mass to the lower level of the square 13, then the cone 8 is brought to the surface of the mass, and the arrow is set to zero. Then, using screw 16, the rod 4 is released, and it begins to descend downward at a predetermined speed. The cord 5 is wound on the block 6. The chain 7 starts to wind off, and the copus 8 is lowered into the vessel 12. The sinking speed of the cone should not exceed 3-5 cm per second. After the cone and the arrow take a constant position, the instrument reads the scale on the disk 10.
An indicator of the mobility of a mass is its displaced volume (when a cone is immersed) per unit weight of the cone. This indicator makes it possible to compare the mobility of the masses, tested with different sizes and weights of the cone.
When testing thick masses, when the normal cone sinks by a small amount and sets in motion a small amount of mass, it is recommended to increase the weight of the cone to such an extent that it sinks no less than 5 Oz in height. This is achieved by pouring bulk material into the cone 17. When testing liquid masses, the weight of the cone is reduced so that it does not sink into this mass. When assessing the mobility of the masses, having small quantities, the size and weight of the cone is reduced.
