1482336 Centrifugal separator HOECHST AG 10 Oct 1975 [22 Nov 1974] 41614/75 Heading B2P [Also in Division B5] An apparatus for use in making gypsum articles, e.g. sheets of gypsum wall board, comprises a centrifuge 8 having a feed line 7 for an aqueous calcium sulphate α-semihydrate suspension and an annular receptacle 1 for receiving concentrated suspension discharged from the centrifuge, the receptacle having means 2 for receiving water and being provided with a discharge line 3 running to a distributor 6 supplying a plurality of lines 13-16 whereby suspension of flowable consistency is conveyed from the receptacle to respective moulds 9-12 in which the articles are cast. The means 2 consists of tangential feed lines disposed around the periphery of the receptacle for injecting water into the annular space 19 defined between the inner and outer peripheral walls of the receptacle and centrifuge rotor 4 respectively. The distributor 6 comprises a flexible line 1) and a selector 18 which enables the outlet end of the line 1) to be moved horizontally across the inlet ends of the conveying lines 13-16. Blades 5 mounted on the rotor extend substantially across the annular space 19 within the receptacle and serve to promote mixing of the suspension with water.

Тангенциальное впрыскивание воды в гомогенизирующую полость смесител  обеспечивает циркулирование « -полугидрата сульфата кальци  внутри указанной полости, а также интенсивное смешивание его с водой и вытекание из выходного патрубка 10 лотка 7 в виде текучей гомогенной суспезии . Интенсивность перемешивани  о -полу гидрата сульфата кальци  с водой дополнительно усиливаетс  с помощью радиально установленных на роторе перемешивающих лопастей 9.
