(54) INTEGRATED OPTICAL SENSOR
An integrated optical sensor is known that contains optical fibers and external polarizers installed along the optical beam, in which the radiation characteristics depend on the applied load. The disadvantage of such a sensor is the low sensitivity due to the depolarization of radiation in optical waveguides. The closest to the invention in its technical nature is an integrated optical strain gauge containing a substrate with installed input waveguides to the output and a strain gauge element in the form of a strip waveguide 2. However, this strain gauge is characterized by low sensitivity due to large energy losses in the strain gauge element and material with a small value of photoelastic constants. The purpose of the invention is to increase the sensitivity. This goal is achieved by the fact that the strain gauge is equipped with optical directional couplers, input output matching in the form of horns installed at the ends of the waveguides, and the strip waveguide is made in the form of an annular resonator located between the waveguides and connected to them through directional couplers. In addition, the waveguides are made on the basis of single crystals of ferroelastics. The drawing shows the proposed load cell. The strain gauge consists of a substrate 1 with input and output waveguides 2 - 3 installed on it, made on the basis of single crystals of ferroelastics, a strain gauge element in the form of a strip ring resonator 4, optical directional couplers 5 and 6 installed between wave waves. waters 2 and 3 and resonator 4, input and output matching elements in vice horns 7 and 8, installed at the ends of waveguides 2 and 3. The strain gauge operates as a blind. Coherent monochromatic radiation — through the input matching element in vice horn 7, waveguide 2 and directional pickup 5 enters the ring resonator 4, in which the traveling wave mode is established. At the same time, a part of the radiation passes through the directional coupler 6 into the output waveguide 3 and then through the output matching element 8 to the output of the tenodate sensor. When a measured load P is applied, the traveling wave mode in the ring resonator 4 is broken, which causes a decrease in the intensity of the radiation coming through the directional coupler 6 into the output waveguide 3, and, consequently, a decrease in the intensity of the radiation at the output of the load cell. The use of the proposed strain gauge reduces the size and increases the sensitivity when measuring deformations or mechanical stresses due to the high quality factor of the RING of your 1st resonator due to the choice of materials with high optical properties of the formula 1. The integrated optical strain gauge containing the substrate with installed input and output waveguides and a strain-sensitive element in the form of a strip waveguide, characterized in that, in order to increase the sensitivity, it is equipped with optical directional couplers, input and output matching elements in the form of horns installed at the ends of the waveguides, the strip waveguide is made in the form of an annular resonator, is located between the input and output waveguides and connected to them through the hydroelectric couplers. 2. A strain gauge according to claim 1, characterized in that the waveguides are made on the basis of single crystals of ferroelastics. Sources of information taken into account in the examination 1.
