Description
The manufacture of steatite products is based on the use of a high-purity natural talc containing a small amount (up to 0.5-0.6%) of iron oxides as the main component of the ceramic mineral composition. The insulating properties of talc ceramics deteriorate dramatically if talc contains an increased amount of iron. For example, the content of iron oxide in an amount of more than 1.5-2.0% sharply reduces the insulating properties of ceramics used in high-frequency engineering.
The usual technological scheme for the manufacture of steat that 5 of three products is as follows.
1. Preparation of the initial recipe composition with the formation of plastic ceramic mass, including talc (sometimes part (burnt), flux, clay, or other plasticizers.
2. Forming of a ceramic semi-fabric 1kat by known methods and its drying.
3. Processing of ceramic steatite products from 1st firing. The subject of the invention is a method to produce steal T () talcum products with a high (up to 6%) content of ca. 1 layer 1 {iron, making it possible to obtain high-frequency electrically insulating products that are not inferior in their electrical and mechanical parameters to products made of with a low content of iron oxides.
The technological process of making steatite products is as follows.
1. Composition of raw talc with appropriately selected fluxes.
2. Preliminary roasting at a temperature of 1300-1350 ° of the component forming the mineral semi-product.
3. Thin grinding of the obtained intermediate (up to the size of particles passing in the main mass through a sieve of 10,000 holes per cm).

4. The addition of mineral powder to the mineral powder; 1stnchsk 1; properties with the formation of the ceramic mass of one or another KoncH, n-eiiii due to the plasticization of its clay or organic binder,
5. Molding known methods of ceramic semi-finished product.
6. Obtaining roasting of ceramic steatite isdel),
Subject invention
A method of making steatite electrically insulating and other talc-based products, characterized in that with the use of talc with a high content of iron oxides (up to 6%) without degrading the electrical insulating properties of steatite, a mixture consisting of talc and smooth, previously burned at a temperature of 1300-1350, the obtained mineral semi-product is finely crushed, plasticized with clay or organic binder, and (FROM the obtained ceramic mass is formed into a semi-finished product, cat ing then fired.
