The invention relates to refrigeration engineering, in particular to air coolers for chambers of refrigerators. An air cooler is known that contains finned tubular serpentine heat exchange sections in the casing with decreasing finning pitch 1 along the air movement. The disadvantage of this air cooler design is the reduction of air during the formation of heat on the heat exchanging surfaces and the need to frequently defrost a snow coat. The purpose of the invention is to increase the life of the air cooler without thawing a snow coat. This goal is achieved by the fact that the sections are installed with a gap in relation to the walls of the casing in a staggered order, and smooth cooling tubes are placed in these gaps. FIG. 1 schematically shows the proposed air cooler, longitudinal section; in fig. 2 - the same plan view. The air cooler consists of body 1, in which tubular coil sections 2 are finned. Section 2 are displaced relative to each other and located at a distance A from the body in a checkerboard pattern. The displacement of the sections creates a free passage of air between the housing and the sections. Smooth cooling tubes 3 are placed in the gap A. The pitch between the fins 4 is reduced in the direction of air movement. The air cooler in cooling mode operates as follows. The refrigerant is supplied to section 2, and the cooled air is injected into housing G. The air flow, moving in housing 1, passes through heat exchange sections 2, in which it is cooled and dried. During operation of the air cooler at negative air temperature, most often does not occur in the initial parts of the heat exchange surfaces, which leads to an increase in the layer on the edges 4 of section 2. However, a significant increase in flow resistance and a decrease in air flow does not occur, because the air flow is redistributed passes in the gap between housing 1 and sections 2 and in the gap between adjacent sections. Such a redistribution of air also leads to a more uniform effect on the heat exchange surfaces over the depth of the air cooler and to an increase in its service life without thawing the snow coat.
The presence of smooth cooling tubes 3 leads to the turbulence of the air flow and contributes to additional cooling of the air.
