(54) ELECTROMAGNETIC CENTRIFUGAL SEPARATOR
. . Силовые линии электромагнитного пол , создаваемого катушкой тороидальной формы сосредотачиваютс в объеме рабочей камеры,что обеспечивает устранение рассе ни мах-нитного потока и, следовательно, повышение эффективности процесса разделени .The invention relates to the enrichment of minerals and can be used to clean liquids from metallic impurities. An electromagnetic separator is known, which includes a tubular body with vertical grooves and an electromagnetic coil placed outside the housing 1. The electromagnetic centrifugal separator is also known, which includes a working chamber, an electromagnetic coil placed from the external chamber wall, a nozzle for inputting the initial material and outputting separation products 2. The disadvantage of these separators is the low efficiency of the separation process due to the presence of magnetic scattering fluxes. The purpose of the invention is to increase the efficiency of the separation process by eliminating magnetic flux scattering. The goal is achieved by the fact that the working chamber and the electromagnetic coil are made of toroidal forms. In FIG. 1 shows schematically the proposed separator, a general view; in fig. 2 - the same longitudinal section The separator includes an electromagnet coil 1, a working chamber 2, nozzles 3 and 4, respectively, for the input of the starting material and the output of the separation products: The separator works as follows. The winding of the coil 1 is connected to a high-frequency current source, the working chamber is filled with pulp and driven in rotation around a horizontal axis. In this case, the high-frequency electromagnetic field causes the appearance of eddy currents in metal particles. The interaction of eddy currents with the electromagnetic field of the coil provides the movement of metal particles to the chamber walls. Centrifugal forces also contribute to this. Non-magnetic particles are removed from the separator by a pulp stream. After a certain period of time, the electromagnetic system is turned off, and metal particles are removed from the chamber by a stream of water. . . The lines of force of the electromagnetic field created by the toroidal coil are concentrated in the volume of the working chamber, which ensures the elimination of the scattering of the maximum flow and, consequently, the increase in the efficiency of the separation process.
