O5 The invention relates to methods for studying the strength properties of articles, in particular abrasive wheels. A known method for determining the hardness of abrasive wheels is that oscillations are produced in a vertically placed circle and these oscillations are received by means of a microphone, the microphone and the percussion device being placed on extensions of the circle diameters that make up the angles within 5 + 20 coming through the pivot point of the circle, and the blow is delivered around the periphery of the circle. However, for products with low natural frequencies, there is a large scatter of results with parallel measurements of the natural frequency. To eliminate measurement errors, a bounce is necessary, which can cause chipping in controlled circles. The aim of the invention is to improve the accuracy of control of circles with natural frequencies of less than 1 2 kHz. This is achieved by placing a rubber gasket with a thickness of no more than 1 to 2 mm around the drummer, made of metal. For circles with natural frequencies of less than 2 kHz, the optimal duration of impact should be at least 5 seconds. Such long durations are achieved for impactors made of metal or solid materials, such as ebonite, etc., only with a large impact force, which is unacceptable due to the appearance of chips on a controlled circle, or for impactors made of materials with a small value of the rod velocity of propagation of the longitudinal wave in the material of the impactor, for example, from rubber. However, taking into account the low density of rubber, the dimensions of the drummer would be too increased, and the impact force is insufficient. Thus, in order to obtain an optimum shock duration, it is necessary to use a drummer made of metal with a rubber gasket.
