1444980 Antidepressants VSES N I KHIMKO-FARMATSEVTICHE INST IM S ORDZHONIKIDZE 28 Nov 1973 55224/73 Heading A5B Pharmaceutical preparations having antidepressant activity comprise a salt of 3-methyl- 8-methoxy-3H, 1, 2, 5, 6-tetrahydropyrazino-(1, 2, 3,-ab)-beta-carboline of formula where A is a pharmaceutically acceptable inorganic or organic acid particularly hydrochloric or bitartaric acid, together with a pharmaceutical carrier or diluent. The preparations may be administered orally, parenterally or rectally in the form of injectable solutions, tablets, pills, lozenges, linctuses, syrups, suppositories or aerosols. The preparations may also contain neuroleptics, such as Tripthasine, Itaperazin'e and/or Sonapax. Reference has been directed by the comptroller to Specification 1409935.

Description
