The invention relates to agriculture and can be used in rice farms using herbicides for weed control. There is a known method of irrigating rice, which includes supplying water to checks through sprinklers 1. The disadvantage of it is the high cost of work when irrigating with sprinkling. There is also known a method of irrigating rice when processing with herbicides, which includes supplying water to checks, maintaining a given flooding layer in them and raising the level of groundwater 2. The disadvantage of the known method is the need for a thick drainage network from pipes for supplying water and raising the level of groundwater. The purpose of the invention is to reduce the expansion of herbicides beyond the limits of the check and reduce labor costs. This is achieved by raising the level of groundwater through the implementation of temporary open channels at the border, in which water levels are maintained above the water level in the check. For the implementation of the method, the existing rice irrigation system is used. FIG. Figure 1 shows a section of a rice system with a hydrodynamic grid of groundwater movement under the checks; in fig. 2 is the same when relieving pressure. Rice irrigation system includes temporary channels 1, checks 2, drainage channels 3. The method is carried out as follows. In the presence of water in the channels 1, the upper part of the groundwater flow from the adjacent checks 2 is backed up, the filtration movement is stopped. Only the lower, weakened streams, cleared in connection with the duration of the underground path from mechanical impurities, including herbicides, fall into the drainage-waste channel 3. In the absence of water in the channels 1, the ground flow, not meeting the resistances, is completely directed to the drainage-waste channel 3. Before or immediately after sowing the rice on the check 2 using canal-smoker along
