Description

The slag is heated by graphite electrodes impregnated into the slag bath. The specific reduced power, i.e., the ratio of electric mosh.nost to the volume of the slag bath, is 0.8-1.0 VA / cm-1. The ingot continuously turns around its axis at a speed of 1 revolution per minute. The melting of the ingot to a depth of 30 mm in these conditions is 9 to 12 minutes. After the entire surface has been melted, the ingot is removed and a new one is started to be processed. After filling, the metal is drained and after solidification the metal is removed. When using a crucible with a capacity of 5 m p of a slag volume of 2 m, up to 40 ingots of vacuum arc remelting can be processed.

Значительно снижаютс  затраты на обработку слитков вследствие многократного использовани  шлака и использовани  всех отходов металла .Using the invention to clean the surface of ingots of vacuum arc remelting allows to obtain a surface with a high degree of purity. The cost of processing ingots is significantly reduced due to the repeated use of slag and the use of all metal waste.
