Description

DEVICE FOR ELECTROMETRIC DETERMINATION OF THE CONCENTRATION OF HYDROGEN IONS IN SOLUTIONS

It was announced on June 2, 1943 in the People's Commissariat of Food Industry under No. 3753 (322366). Published December 31, 1946.

The potentiometric pH measurement method under production conditions requires rather complex equipment in order to obtain sufficiently accurate results.

Предлагаемый прибор дл  электрометрического определени  концентрации водородных ионов в раСтворВх дает возможность получить надежные и точные значени  рН дл  производственного контрол  простой и дешевой аппаратурой .The proposed device for the electrometric determination of the concentration of hydrogen ions in solutions provides the ability to obtain reliable and accurate pH values for production control with a simple and cheap instrument.

The device (see drawing) consists of a series of cups a, arranged in a special tripod around the circumference, into which buffer solutions are poured with known pH values, for example, 3.0 - 3.5 - 4.0 - 4.5 - 5 , 0 - 6.0 - 6.5 - 7.0-7.5-8.0-8.5. A cup b with the test solution is placed in the middle of the stand. This solution electrolytically agaragara connecting bridge closes with the buffer solution, the pH of which most closely lies to the pH value of the test solution. The electrolytic agar-agar bridge is mounted on a small ebonite socket C,

на которой укреплены два электрода из нержавеюш;ей стали d - d.on which two electrodes of stainless steel are fastened; they have become d - d.

When the solutions are closed with an electrolytic bridge, stainless steel electrodes are immersed in the solutions at the same time.

The electrodes are attached to the zero galvanometer G. The chain is closed using the key / C, the deviation of the arrow of the galvanometer is observed (to the right or to the left of 0). Include successively in the chain other buffer solutions in cups a and a short circuit with a key chain, (Find such two buffer solutions when the galvanometer with one of them gives the arrow a deflection in one direction, and with the other buffer solution in the other. In this case The pH of the test solution will be between two pH values of the buffer solutions.

В том случае, если встаканчиках а налиты буферныерастворы с интервалами значенийрП 0,2, точность определени  неизвестного раствора будет пор дкарН 0,1, котора  достаточна дл производственного Контрол .In the case where the buffer-s are filled with buffer solutions with intervals of 0.2 PP, the accuracy of the determination of the unknown solution will be 0.1 dH CarN, which is sufficient for the production Control.

Subject and purpose of b.

A device for electrometric determination of the concentration of hydrogen ions in solutions by comparing the test solution with reference buffer solutions of known pH using a null-galvanometer connected to electrodes dipped into the test and reference solutions connected by an electrolytic bridge, distinguished by that.

что, с целью определени  рН исследуемого раствора, как промежуточного между значени ми рН двух эталонных буферных растворов , он выполнен в виде штатива, несущего сосуд дл  ксследуемого раствора, вокруг которого установлены сосуды дл  эталонных буферных растворов, могущих поочередно соедин тьс  с испытуемым раствором (Электролитическим мостикОМ , монтированным на панели, несущей электроды.that, in order to determine the pH of the test solution, as an intermediate between the pH values of two reference buffer solutions, it is designed as a tripod carrying a vessel for the test solution, around which vessels for reference buffer solutions are installed, which can alternately be connected to the test solution (Electrolytic a bridge mounted on the panel carrying the electrodes.
