С этой целью т га 4 снабжена на конце прорезом 5, в котором ходит палец рычага б, качающегос около оси 27 и перемещающего другим плечом своим вилку 9, обычно задерживающую зубцы 10 зубчатой рейки каретки 22, в такое положение, что зубец 10 проходит между развилинами вилки. Одновременно с перемещением рычага 6, производит качание св занный с ним рычаг 7, поднимающий и опускающий лентодержатель 8.
