The invention relates to the preparation of surface-active substances (surfactants), in particular non-ionic surfactants, and specifically to a method for producing mono- or diethanolamides of fatty acids, which are used as additives to detergents and cosmetics as emulsifiers, and are also raw materials for preparation of other anionic surfactants. A known method for producing mono or fatty acid diethanolamides is that synthetic fatty acids (FFA) of the fraction of t with methanol in the presence of n-tolu olsulfonic acid, followed by heating the resulting methyl esters of fatty acids with mono- or diethanolamine at 90-SO. C in the presence of an alkaline catalyst, usually sodium phenol or sodium ethoxide 1. The disadvantage of this method is that the use of FFA as a raw material results in the production of mono- or diethanolamides with an unpleasant odor. This is due to the fact that the starting acids contain impurities of hydroxy, keto and dicarchic acids (see table). Ethanolamides from FLC are not suitable for cosmetic purposes. The aim of the invention is to expand the raw material base and improve the quality of the target products. Delivered gel is achieved by a method of producing mono- or diethanolamides, consisting in the fact that fatty acids from the fat of microorganisms are treated with methanol at boiling in the presence of p-toluenesulfonic acid, followed by heating the resulting methyl esters of fatty acids with mono- or diethanolamine at 9O- but C in the presence of an alkaline catalyst. A distinctive feature of the invention is the use of fatty acids from the fat of microorganisms as a product of microbiological transformation of a paraffin-containing oil product. Example. A mixture of 200 g of fatty acids from the fat of microorganisms, 114 g of methanol and 1 g of p-toluenesulfonic acid is boiled for 3-4 hours. Then methanol is distilled off, the methyl esters are washed from the catalyst and distilled off at a residual pressure of 2-4 mm Hg. Art. and temperature in pairs 170-190s. 200 g of methyl esters are obtained. The resulting methyl esters are mixed with sodium methoxide (from 1 g of sodium), 42.5 monoethanolamine is added and stirred at 95-llO / / 500 mm Hg. in a stream of nitrogen to stop the distillation of methanol. 220.5 g of monoethanolamide fatty acid are obtained. Example 2. Similarly, from 200 methyl esters and 73.1 g of diethanolamine (110-115C / 500-600 mm Hg), 273 g of diethanolamides are obtained. The advantage of this method is that the fat of microorganisms, serving as a source of raw materials in this process, is a waste product during the synthesis of protein-vitamin concentrate. The absence of hydroxy, keto, and dicarboxylic acids in the fatty acid microorganisms allows their use in the preparation of alkylolamides for cosmetic purposes. Acids from the fat of microorganisms are similar in composition to acids derived from natural fats and oils (see table). From the above data it follows that the acids from the fat of microorganisms are significantly higher in quality synthetic. The process is carried out as follows. Fatty acids from the fat of microorganisms are esterified in a known manner with methanol in the presence of p-toluenesulfonic acid. Methyl esters are distilled at 170-190s / 2-4 mm Hg. and treated with mono- or di-ethanolamine at 95-115 ° C / 500-600 per cent of mercury. in a stream of nitrogen in the presence of an alkaline catalyst, usually sodium methoxide, until methanol is distilled off.
