Description

Flotation of tungsten-containing ores, for example, scheelitic, with impurities of fluorite, apatite and other calcium minerals with fatty acids and their salts and soaps, gives a coarse flotation concentrate. This is due to the fact that calcium soaps form on the surfaces of the calcium minerals of the bare rock, which promote the transfer of all calcium minerals to the foam.

A method for treating such coarse concentrates as proposed by the present invention is characterized in that the concentrates are treated with ferric chloride (FeClg) in an acidic medium. This is achieved by the suppression of fluorite, apatite, etc.

The processing scheme is as follows:

Iron Salt Agitation

Flotation

4Agitations with iron salts

2Flotation Concentrate 2Product 2

The coarse flotation concentrate undergoes treatment (agitation) for some time with ferric chloride at a high concentration in acid pulp, and then the propagated pulp enters the flotation mashine, where some pulp liquefaction occurs and subsequent flotation occurs. During flotation, tungsten minerals transfer to concentrate and waste minerals remain in the tailings. Depending on the composition of the coarse concentrate and the concentration of ferric chloride used, the treatment of the concentrate with iron salts followed by flotation can be repeated.

The table shows the processing results of coarse Tyrnauz concentrates on the proposed method.

The coarse concentrate was obtained from skarn ore, in which the ratio of fluorite to WOspaBHO is about 3: 1 and which contains about 50.0% of fluorite.

The subject of the invention is a processing method for coarse concentrate obtained by flotation of scheelite ores with fluorite, apatite and other calcium minerals irimess, characterized in that the concentrate is treated with ferric chloride (FeClg) in an acidic medium in order to suppress fluorite and apatite.
