Description
(54) ELECTROMAGNETIC MILL
The invention relates to a device for crushing and grinding of solid materials and is intended for preferential use in powder metallurgy. An electromagnetic mill is known, comprising a grinding chamber with grinding bodies and an electromagnetic system of a rotating field ij. A disadvantage of the known device is the low grinding efficiency and the impossibility of obtaining highly dispersed powders. The aim of the invention is to increase the grinding efficiency in obtaining highly dispersed powders. This is achieved by the fact that an electromagnetic mill, containing a grinding chamber with grinding elements and an electromagnetic system of a rotating magnetic field, is provided with an additional electromagnetic system of a pulsed type. FIG. 1 schematically shows an electromagnetic mill; in fig. 2, section A-A in FIG. 1. Electromagnetic mill containing the housing 1, the grinding chamber 2 with the lid 3 and the clamp 4, the bands of the magnetic systems 5, equipped with coils, creating a rotating magnetic field, and the coils 7 of the magnetic system operating in a pulsed mode. The chamber is loaded with milled powder, liquid, for example alcohol, and grinding bodies (balls) 8. The mill operates as follows. Camera 2 is installed in housing 1 and secured with clamp 4. The electromagnetic system, which creates a rotating magnetic field, turns on the network and the contents of camera 2 accelerates to a certain speed. Then a voltage pulse is applied to the coils 7 of the additional magnetic system. The voltage pulse can be applied either directly to all the coils 7, or to each of them in turn. When a voltage pulse is applied to all three coils 7, three centers of a potent magnetic field are formed, while the grinding bodies 8 are attracted to the poles of the magnets, thereby disturbing the steady motion of the grinding bodies, which sharply change the trajectory of their movement, collide with each other, grinding powder particles trapped between them.
{По окончании импульса напр жени мелющие тела продолжают свое круговре движение до подачи очередного импульса .{At the end of the voltage pulse, the grinding bodies continue their circulation until the next pulse is applied.
When a voltage pulse is applied to the coils 7 in turn, one center of a potent magnetic field is formed; however, all the balls 8 rush towards this center, and some balls changing their trajectory, travel a little more (than in the first case) and, consequently, the blows during a collision are more intense.
The second impulse voltage supply method is recommended for grinding more durable powder particles.
The presence of an additional electromagnetic system operating in pulsed mode, significantly increases the efficiency of the electro-tight
мельницы и позвол ет получать порошки высокой дисперсности за счет дополнительных соударений мелющих тел при воздействии на них импульсов магнитного пол .mills and allows to obtain highly dispersive powders due to additional collisions of grinding bodies when exposed to magnetic field pulses.
