Description
BaSO2 barium sulphate paste (Blanfix) is made for the production of barite paper, in particular, a photo substrate, as well as in printing polygraphy. Tint of barite papers in a bluish tone increases the whiteness of the photo paper, reducing the yellowness of the photosensitive emulsion. More intense coloring in other colors gives new artistic varieties of photographic paper due to the color of the photo substrate (no additional processing is required). So, for example, paper of the following tones can be obtained: pink, ivory, cream, etc.
Mineral and other pigments introduced into Blanfix require special grinding, control of the degree of dispersion and mixing to achieve uniformity. All this lengthens the technological process and increases the cost of production.
The proposed method differs from the usual method of blanketix tinting in that it allows, without changing the course of the technological process, to prepare BaSO4 paste colored at the desired tone, and, consequently, colored paper, due to the introduction of a dye during the formation of BaSO4 suspension (along the process) gives a uniform distribution of the dye in the mass. Due to adsorption, its resistance to leaching is greatly increased.
Добавочна операци заключаетс в приготовлении раствора куба соответствующего красител в нужном дл этого баке-растворителе с подогревом .Used vat dyes are characterized by high light resistance and are chemically inert, which is especially important in the manufacture of photographic papers. In order to obtain a colored barite layer, in the course of the technological process of making paste (blancix), the cube of the corresponding dye is introduced into one of the measuring tanks, where purified barium chloride and sodium sulfate solutions are located, which are then mixed in a decalter. One of the above solutions is acidified with sulfuric or hydrochloric acid to completely release the BaSO4 and neutralize the caustic alkaline solution. The prepared cube of the corresponding dye is introduced into a measuring tank with an unacidified solution, since otherwise the oxidation of the dye will start prematurely. From the measuring tanks, the solutions are merged in the usual order into the decanter, where a suspension of BaSO4 is formed with simultaneous capture of the leuco compound and its subsequent oxidation into the dye. A further step is to prepare a solution of the cube of the corresponding dye in the heated solvent tank required for this.
555Similarly, it is possible to carry out coloring and mordant dyes, for which in one of the dimensional
An acidified dye was injected with a BaCl2 or NagSOj solution, and an acidified dye was added to another mordant. The solutions are mixed in a decanter. The dyes and suspensions of BaSO4 are formed simultaneously. Dyeing with mordant dyes can not always be used to obtain a dyed barite photo paper, a mixture of substances that form the color during the preparation of a paint (sulfur, etc.), will affect the photosensitive layer.
The following dyes can be taken for light iodinevinyl blancix: vat blue 04B (new domain name) or chloro-tantrene blue, etc. The preparation of the cube for these two dyes is the same, and for others by the technological process developed in the paint and varnish industry. Based on the calculation of the amount of 750 kg of BaSO.i (blanfix) paste (this is the production yield), 150 g of dye is required. A cube is made in a heated ceramic or wood tank. The following reagents are required to convert the indicated amount of dye into its compound: 1 kg of caustic soda aOH and 400 g of hydroslfit Na2S2O4. Caustic soda is dissolved in 5 l of water and the selected vat dye is put into the solution with stirring in the form of a paste (if the dye is in the form of a powder, it is better to grind it with glycerin in the crust, since the dye is easier
BaSO4).goes into leukosoedinenie). 400 g of a hydrosulphite solution are injected into the same NaOH 4-paint solution. The total volume is brought to 120 liters when heated to 60-70 °. Heating is continued for at least 30 minutes, after which the -cub is ready for entry into one of the solutions. If you wish to obtain intensely colored pastes, the amount of dye is increased (if necessary, the tone intensity can be reduced by adding unpainted BaSO4 paste).
е. To obtain a different color, a dye is taken giving the desired tone. The oxidation of a leuco compound occurs in the decanter due to oxygen in the water. When BaSO4 (Blanfix) is standing in the air, its tone does not increase, since the leuco-compound is completely oxidized, i.e. it passes into a cryolite.
