Принцип действи предлагаемого предохранител заключаетс в том, что при протекании через предохранитель тока короткого замыкани вставка 1 разрьшаетс электродинамическими силами в местах перехода от малого сечени к большему (в местах узкого перешейка и соединени ее с контактными наконечниками), после чего части разорванной вставки 1 с соответствующими контактными наконечниками 3 раздвигаютс в осевом направлении в противоположные стороны.
