The invention relates to materials used to impregnate sliding electrical contacts, such as contact inserts of trolleybus current collectors.
Alloys are known for impregnating sliding electrical contacts. Such a material is an alloy consisting of tin and lead. However, the known alloys do not provide good quality impregnation of contact inserts, their high anti-friction properties.
In order to eliminate these drawbacks, an alloy is proposed for impregnating sliding electrical contacts, in particular contact inserts of trolleybus current collectors, into which zinc is introduced. Zinc improves the anti-friction properties and wear resistance of contact inserts.
0,1 - 15The components of the proposed alloy are taken in the following ratio, (in%): Tin 0.1 - 15
Lead the rest.
The contact inserts of trolleybus current collectors made of iron-based metal powders and impregnated with the proposed alloy were tested in laboratory conditions and confirmed higher wear resistance compared to inserts impregnated with lead and tin.
