Description
Until THIS, the cable sheath is usually made of jute roving, wound in 20-50 threads of a screw-like type on a cable with the help of special MOTORILES on cable machines. However, the jute roving is a scarce material. According to the invention, for the manufacture of a protective (mainly under armor) shell, it is proposed to use paper cords impregnated with an anti-rotting compound. A feature of the invention is a method of imparting mechanical strength to such a shell. The fact is that by themselves the paper bundles, after their stay in a wet environment, reduce their mechanical strength. In order to bind them, it is proposed to combine paper bundles with jute yarns. Such a shell can withstand greater mechanical forces than a shell of paper strands alone. In addition, the jute yarns, due to their softness, bulkiness and elasticity, make the entire combined casing more uniform in thickness and, in case of breakage of several paper cords (in the production process on armor machines), prevent the gaps between the threads.

Далее, преимущество такой комбинированной оболочки состоит в возможности самым нагл дным путем убедитьс в качестве того или иного материала и пригодности его дл защитной оболочки .Further, the advantage of such a combination shell is the possibility in the most obvious way to ascertain the quality of one or another material and its suitability for a protective shell.
Дело в том, что трудно воспроизвести опыты по искусственному старению бумажных ИЛИ иных жгутов, а здесь, в данном случае, через несколько лет после эксплоатации кабелей с комбинированной защитной оболочкой очень легко по сравнению бумаги и джута пр мо сказать, можно или нет примен ть бумажные жгуты дл защиты кабелей во всех услови х или только в некоторых ограниченных случа х .The fact is that it is difficult to reproduce experiments on the artificial aging of paper OR other cords, and here, in this case, several years after the use of cables with a combined protective sheath, it is very easy to compare whether paper or jute harnesses for cable protection in all conditions or only in some limited cases.
A further advantage of the proposed combi-shell is that in case of rapid decay of paper bundles or loss of their mechanical properties, the shell will still have at least some of the threads (jute) that retain their properties.
Особенно хорошее качество оболочки получаетс , если джутовые нити чередуютс через одну или через две с бумажными жгутами .A particularly good quality of the shell is obtained if the jute filaments alternate through one or two with paper strands.
The subject matter of the invention.
Protective sheath for electrical cables, characterized in that it is made of paper bundles,
чередующихс с ровницей (нит ми) из джута, пеньки или тому подобного волокнистого материала, причем как бумага , так и иной указанный волокнистый материал пропитаны противогнилостным составом.alternating with rovings (yarns) of jute, hemp or the like, fibrous material, and both paper and another specified fibrous material are impregnated with anti-putrid compound.
