The device works as follows.

A longitudinal log passes the log to the diverter, the hydraulic cylinders of the dumping arms 13 and 14 turn on, which begin to extend. The resetting lever 13 will come into contact with the thick end of the log and will start turning the lever 4 until the resetting lever 14 comes into contact with the log. Turning, the lever 4 raises the counterweight 9. Next, the ejection levers 13 and 14, resting on the log, begin to move in the guides 16 to the lugs 18 using the limit switch 15, the electromagnetic clutch 2 closes, the electric motor 3 turns on, the lever 4 turns against clockwise together with the log, which at this moment is reset by the levers 13 and 14 is dropped onto the transverse log break. As soon as the lever 4 returns to its original position, the counterweight 9, when lowered, acts on the limit switch 11, and the electric motor 3 is turned off.
