70-80.Electrical measuring instruments are known which contain a liquid dielectric moving under the action of an electric field, measuring electrodes and a reading device. However, the readings of the known instruments depend on their orientation relative to the direction of the vector of earth gravity, which significantly reduces their operational capabilities and reduces the accuracy of measurements. The proposed device is characterized in that the electrodes are made in the form of two spheres of different radii with aligned centers and with holes in the upper and lower parts of the spheres; part of the volume of the internal sphere and the volume between the spheres is filled with a liquid dielectric. Volumes are connected at the bottom of the tube in the form of a knee. The connecting holes are made in diametrically opposite points. These differences make it possible to exclude the influence on the readings of the device, its orientation relative to the direction of the force vector of the vehicle, and also to extend the range of the angles of inclination of the device. The device is shown in the drawing. Conductive spheres 1 and 2 are placed inside one another so that their centers coincide. The working (liquid) dielectric 3 fills a part of the volume of the inner sphere 1, and then a part of the volume 4 between the spheres forming the working gap. Both volumes are connected, for example, in two diametrically opposite places, on the one hand, with a hole 5 in the inner sphere, and on the other, with a thin connecting channel. A mark is placed in one of the two parallel arms 6 and 7 of the channel (for example, a droplet immiscible with the dielectric of the liquid 8), the displacement of which is determined on a scale 9. The device works as follows. Measured voltage and is applied to electrodes 1, 2. Under the action of the electric field, the dielectric 3 moves in the gap 4. At the same time, it flows from the internal volume of the channel 6, shifting the mark 8, which is read by a scale 9. If the position of the device relative to the voltage of the earth's attraction vector is changed, the difference in the levels of volume 4 and the volume of the inner sphere 1 is maintained due to the central symmetry of the device, and the liquid does not flow. Thus, the readings of the instrument do not depend on its orientation until the phase boundary (and dielectric surface) passes through the connecting holes. If the holes are diametrically opposed, the device can rotate around horizontal axes by 70-80.
